Transportation Radio: Operation Lifesaver Works to Cut Rail Fatalities

It's no contest when a train and a car or a pedestrian hit. Operation Lifesaver is working to make sure that doesn't happen.

Rail lines criss-cross New Jersey from end to end carrying passengers and freight.  Unfortunately, they're also viewed as shortcuts for pedestrians, especially teenagers.  Operation Lifesaver has been working since the early 1970s to reduce fatalities and injuries when trains and people collide.  Joyce Rose is the president and CEO of Operation Lifesaver, Inc. and she talked to Transportation Radio about some of what's being done. http://shouts.at/Gge
