Girls Night Out On Despite Rain

Forget the forecast. Tonight’s Girls Night Out promotional event is going on as planned. When asked if the event was still moving forward, the Maplewood Village Alliance’s village manager Amy Koehler responded quickly and emphatically.

“Absolutely!” Koehler wrote in an email. She said she had been updating the Village’s accounts on Twitter and Facebook to assure people that the village event, which is offering promotions and discounts aimed mainly at women, was still happening.

She said outdoor dining might be affected, but otherwise nothing is going to change. Perch owner and event co-organizer Michelle Bessey echoed Koehler's enthusiasm.

"Rain or shine, the fun is inside," Bessey said.
