Hurricane Can't Stop Halloween in Maplewood

It might have been five days late, but Halloween came to Maplewood today.

The annual Maplewood Halloween Parade was held five days after Halloween, thanks to Hurricane Sandy.  

But for the hundreds of costumed children trick or treating down Maplewood Avenue, it was just as good as the real thing.

Merchants gave out candy -- despite the fact that the power suddenly went out throughout the Village just before the parade began.
