Lorena's in Maplewood Dazzles New Jersey Monthly

Rave review from food critic.

 

Lorena's in Maplewood recently received a glowing review in New Jersey Monthly.

Food critic Rosie Saferstein called the restaurant a "delight" and lauded its "impeccable service and exceptional food."

She singled out many dishes, including puree of butternut squash soup with huckleberries and brioche crouton; warm jumbo lump crabmeat and wild mushroom crepe; roasted chicken breast with wild mushrooms, spinach, celery-root purée and truffle broth; apple tart with almond purée, apple chip and apple cider reduction, and warm pear, almond and rum raisin brioche bread pudding with caramel sauce. 

It's not the first time the magazine raved about Lorena's. In fact, it was one of the top 25 restaurants in the state in the 2012 Readers' Choice poll.
