Newtown School Massacre Tops Maplewood News

A tragic end to a week leading up to the holidays.


Friday brought the horrific news of a massacre of 26 people, 20 of whom were children, in a school in Newtown, CT. Stories about the incident topped the news around the country.

There was a connection to New Jersey, as the alleged shooter's brother -- whom the media first incorrectly identified as a suspect -- lives in Hoboken.

Ryan Lanza was wrongly blamed as a murderer of 26 people this Friday. He took to Facebook to rail against CNN, who initially blamed him for the murders.


Ryan Lanza was at his job in Manhattan on Friday when news outlets began to report that he had massacred 20 school children in a sleepy Connecticut town.
