Kids got in the action by helping to paint a mural. Local restaurants offered specials and there were pop-up outdoor cafes at and . Representatives from Maplewood's and South Orange's many cultural and civic organizations were on hand to give out information.

There was even a flashdance mob -- video to come. The event was co-sponsored by the  (MVA) and the  (MAC).
