Course Descriptions

First Impression! (Course 101-Introductions)

First Impression is our introductory class to the program. This course provides the fundamentals of building self-esteem and making a great First Impression. Through interactive role-play, students will master how to make proper introductions, improve posture, voice control/projection, maintain eye contact, shake hands with confidence and more! You'll find pleasure watching your little social buds begin to bloom!  Students will learn the importance of using 'words' versus 'actions' to garner attention and express how they feel. Each week we'll also provide a "word for the week" to expand their day-to-day vocabulary, as well as build communication and listening skills. This introductory course builds a solid foundation for our entire curriculum.

Pass the Peas Please (Course 102-Dining)

Our table manners and dining class will teach all the social graces and etiquette they'll need to last a lifetime. From making dinner reservations, ordering at a restaurant, proper use of utensils and having polite conversation to formally setting the perfect table, they'll have the aptitude to feel confident at any family style or formal dining setting. Students master both European and American style dining.

Perfect Pitch (Course 103-Public Speaking)

In our communications course, we introduce the fundamentals of public speaking. Students will learn techniques to overcome the "nervous jitters" and learn to present with ease. Skills learned will help students approach fundraising and class presentations with confidence and excitement. Whether raising money for school or church, their presentation and public speaking skills, along with proper phone etiquette will be valued lessons learned to last a lifetime.
