Groundbreaking, 1611 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood: Wednesday, January 9th at 10:00am

Daibes Gas 14 LLC, a subsidiary of Daibes Enterprises of Edgewater, will construct a mixed-use residential and commercial building on the southeast corner of Springfield and Burnett Avenues, across from the new police station and municipal court building. Daibes' plans for the site of the old Shell gas station call for a two-story development with 5,275-square-feet of retail space on the first floor and six apartments on the second floor. The plan includes fifteen parking spaces in a lot behind the proposed building.
