Members of the public are encouraged to attend to ask questions and comment; elected officials from both towns will be present.

The forum will last just over an hour, and it will be followed by a regular BOE meeting. The agenda for the capital plan forum is here; the agenda for the board meeting is here.

"Interesting" elected town officials feel free to comment on school district capital plans, but the BOE and Superintendent Osborne choose silence when the town officials turn around and screw the schools by giving out PILOTs to crony developers.

Regarding the Aquatic Center, it would push property values higher, as competitive swimming is a key consideration of some parents, a suburban sport selecting from families with higher incomes and the ability to pay more for a house.

As to raising property values, that's a dubious claim, but it would certainly push property taxes higher as we'll have to bond and re-bond to pay down the principal and debt service.
