An early morning fire caused extensive damage to a Prospect Street home Wednesday but no injuries to a family of seven.

 

A report of a prowler breaking into a Hudson Avenue garage early Wednesday morning led Maplewood Police on an unsuccessful foot chase through the neighborhood in pursuit of the man.

 

Drunk Teens Pass Out in Cold After Leaving Essex Fells Party

Two teenage boys -- including a 15-year-old from Maplewood -- were hospitalized Saturday night after they drank too much at a party in Essex Fells and apparently passed out in the cold, police officials said.

 

"Suspicious" Fire Damages Tuscan School Shed

A fire damaged a vinyl utility shed on the grounds of Tuscan Elementary School late Tuesday night, according to Chief Michael Dingelstedt, who said the fire appeared to have been an act of vandalism.
