Something special was in the air in Maplewood Village last night, as hundreds of women came downtown to stroll, shop, sip and socialize for the .
More than twenty merchants participated, holding special sales, giving out freebies and offering deals in their restaurants and shops. Maplewood Ave. and surrounding streets were filled with the sights and sounds of ladies of all ages enjoying the sheer pleasure of each other's company. (And did we mention the shopping?)
The first 250 guests who registered recieved "Swag Bags", with the first set being handed out at 6:00 and the next at 7:15 to accommodate commuters who arrived later in the evening. Swag Bags goodies were provided by participating merchants.
One of the evening's sponsors was . They offered products, styling and color consults and blow outs throughout the evening.
Janean Harvey, of , helped coordinate the event and gave out pink frisbees in the swag bags.
There were opportunities to give back to the community as well. offered 10% of proceeds going towards At , a bone marrow drive was being held with Jesse Torrey, Jessa Barnes, Kim Vivenzio, Kim Mackay and Liz Cort on hand to help with registration.
The restaurant scene was booming, with the bars and dining areas overflowing with guests. At , "Tori Eastwhile & The Montys" and Nat Gromam were performing. was bursting at the seams with groups of friends enjoying margaritas, sliders, and a lot of laughs.
