Post Office Meeting and More This Week in Maplewood

A look at what's coming up in town.

 

 

The Maplewood Township Committee will meet Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. On the agenda: two ordinances on final passage; one providing for the purchase of the Woman's Club, and one providing for various capital improvements in town. There will also be a status report on the recently formed Woman's Club Task Force.

Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. is Family Night Out in Maplewood Village. Eat and shop at participating stores, and proceeds will support CHS's Class of 2013 Midnight Madness Project Graduation.

The township will host the third community meeting on the future of the Maplewood Post Office site on Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

April is National Autism Awareness Month, and Words Bookstore will host events, book signings and workshops about autism. Patch will preview some of what's ahead at the store. Check their website for more information.

 

Auto theft is on the rise in Maplewood. This week, Patch will interview Lt. Dean Naddeo, head of the Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit, to find out how residents can safeguard their vehicles.

 

Looking ahead: South Orange - Maplewood School District students are counting down to spring recess.  Students have days off from April 8 - April 12, making this week and next quiet when it comes to school meetings.
