Recycling, CHS Golf Classic, TC Meets This Week in Maplewood

A look at what's ahead.


  • Remember, Monday is a Recycling Day.


  • Also on Monday, the Cougar Boosters will hold their 15th Annual CHS Golf Classic Tournament at the Maplewood Country Club.


  • This week, South Orange - Maplewood 6th graders have the NJASK from Monday-Thursday. Also, CHS students take the AP Exams.


  • Maplewood Township Committee meets Tuesday at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. The agenda can be found here. On the agenda: a vote to refer the proposed Maplewood Village Post Office Redevelopment Plan to the Township Planning Board for review; a vote on an ordinance on final passage to allow the consumption of alcohol at the Maplewood Public Library; and a discussion of the Maplewood Woman's Club.


  • This week, Patch will look at what's happening on Springfield Avenue, including two recently opened stores, the soon to be completed Maplewood Crossing apartment complex at the old Universal Chain site, and what the township is doing to attract new businesses and developments to the Avenue.


  • Thursday kicks off the 76th Annual Maplewood Garden Club Plant Sale; the sale runs also on Friday and Saturday.

There's no need to have alcohol at public Library. I think that is so crazy if they're considering something like that. A Library is a place where people go to do research and read. SHAME! SHAME!
