This Weekend's Trick Was Halloween's Treat

Ironically, the snow day brought beautiful weather and big crowds to the Village for the Annual Halloween Parade & Costume Contest.

A snow day from school did not stop the townspeople from coming out in droves to Maplewood Village for the Halloween Parade & Costume Contest, sponsored by the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce.

The town was filled this afternoon with monsters, athletes, fairies, muppets and cartoon characters. The costumes ranged from the very popular to the very original with prizes given in several categories.

Zombie Jeremy Moss had the Halloween tunes blasting as Halloween revelers danced the afternoon away.

With perhaps one of the biggest crowds ever, merchants generously handed out candy and treats throughout the afternoon.
