There's been some bus stop and water cooler discussion about this one: Will the annual Maplewood take place on the weekend because Halloween falls on the very inconvenient date of Monday? (We're all going to have some overtired and sugar-strung-out tots to start the school week....)
Sorry, folks (especially you working parents). The shindig is Monday, October 31 at 3 p.m. in the Village. But, don't scream about it! You had to come home early anyway for the school parade. And it'll be a howling good time.
And hey (or hay?), Halloween comes only once a year. Plus, Maplewood's Halloween Parade and Costume Contest is Maplewood at its best — when the Village is at its Mayberry-est and everyone wanders home feeling blessed to a guy, gal or ghoul living in Maplewood.
Thanks to the for organizing and sponsoring the event. And enjoy our photo (from 2010) and video (from 2009) gallery of costumes from recent years. Perhaps they will inspire some ideas for this year's costumes....
