Martin Luther King Annual Community Observance & Volunteer Fair

Make It More Than A Dream!

The Community Coalition on Race is holding its 12th annual celebration of Dr. King’s birthday featuring an interfaith observance, a Volunteer Fair, and service opportunities.  Junius Williams—noted attorney, author, educator and Director of the Abbott Leadership Institute at Rutgers, Newark—is the featured speaker.  He is a product of the King era and was involved in a wide range of Civil Rights activities. We will celebrate also with music provided by a jazz ensemble and the combined choirs of Voices in Harmony, First Baptist Church of South Orange and Morrow Memorial United Methodist.  Local faith and community organizations will also share related readings.  The observance is co-hosted by First Baptist Church of South Orange and Morrow Memorial United Methodist Church and will be held at Morrow on Monday, January 21 at 3PM.  Friends and neighbors of all ages are welcome!
