Special Screening: From Fatherless to Fatherhood

From Fatherless to Fatherhood
Maplewood Library will present a screening and discussion with the director of From Fatherless to Fatherhood, a documentary film and initiative that explore the causes, effects and possible solutions to father absence in African-American communities. The film includes a segment on incoming Tuscan assistant principal Kevin Mason. Mason’s story of becoming the best husband and father he can be, despite growing up without his dad, inspired music industry executive Kobie Brown to create this documentary. Mr. Brown and the film have been profiled by CNN, Ebony and Essence Magazine.

The library will be screening a 45-minute version of the film, to be followed by a talkback/ discussion session. This program is free and open to the public.
