“In 2012, Greater Essex County chapter began hosting this
event to empower families and communities to make health a top priority,
encourage everyone – of all ages -- to take small, manageable steps to improve
health, and reduce the risk for many diseases,” said Dr. Lezli Harvell, a GECC
member and owner of Dental Kidz, a health fair sponsor.

“This health initiative is in lockstep with First Lady
Michelle Obama’s push to inspire Americans to lead healthier lives through better nutrition
and regular physical activity, and to encourage communities to support healthy
choices,” added Dr. Harvell.

will be onsite to offer youth fire safety instruction, and Clara Maass Medical
Center will conduct a Teddy Bear Clinic for children.
