South Mountain Peace Action is sponsoring a rally on
Monday September 2nd from 12:00
noon to 12:30 at Ricalton Square on Maplewood
Avenue, across the street from the Movie Theater.
We will send a petition to the President urging him
to refrain from bombing Syria, to allow the UN
inspectors to complete their work and to respect the United
Nations Charter with regard to the use of any military
force.
The UN Charter is a treaty signed by the US which means
that we are constitutionally obligated to comply with its
provisions, which forbid the use of military force except when authorized by the
UN Security Council or when under imminent threat of attack.
