Newstead 5K Race

The 11th annual Newstead 5K will be held Saturday, September 21st, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. The race has grown each year, attracting hundreds of runners from the surrounding area and engendering a strong sense of community
pride as residents, merchants, teachers, students and friends run to raise
money for The Achieve Foundation of
South Orange & Maplewood (www.achievefoundation.org). 

Last year's race attracted more than 500 runners and raised a record total of $14,000 to support innovative programs, advanced technology and overall excellence in all nine schools in the district.

Achieve is hoping to have at least 50 sponsors for the 2013 race -- the families, local businesses and corporations whose generosity make it possible for us to exceed our goal and top our expectations every year.
