Special Dance is a student Modern Dance Company that performs an annual concert at Columbia High School each May. The students audition to be in the company each year and take a daily class for 3 quarters of the year with Dance Educator, Ms. Point du Jour, who also directs the company. The students perform at outside venues through the year and attend Dance workshops at Universities in New Jersey and sometimes outside the state. The students rehearse outside of school, choreograph their own pieces and learn other styles of dance in addition to Modern Dance. The company was founded in 1971. The performances are outstanding!
Tickets are on sale today at Maplewood Pizzeria until late afternoon for $10 and at the High School before the performance at 8PM for $12. There will be another performance on Saturday May 17th at 8PM as well.
