Women’s Connection of Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel to Host “Food and Mood” Wellness Lecture

The Women’s Connection of Temple
Sharey Tefilo-Israel
(TSTI) invites
women from the Essex County area to a free lecture titled “Food and Mood:
Healthy Eating for a Long and Happy Life,” by nutritionist Dr. Shelley
Weinstock, CNS, FACN. The program, which is open to the public, will be held on
Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Healthy snacks will be served.





Weinstock, a Certified Nutrition Specialist
and Fellow of the American College of Nutrition (www.weinstocknutrition.com), will lead attendees through a Q&A format during which they will discover:



·       How certain foods and vitamins affect mood
and overall health.

·       How improving one’s eating habits and
lifestyle choices helps prevent chronic disease.



·       Which foods help manage the effects of
hormonal shifts in the body.

Throughout the
year, the Women’s Connection provides opportunities for its members and
guests to connect with women from South Orange and surrounding towns in a
casual, intimate atmosphere at the Reform synagogue. It hosts social,
educational, cultural and intellectual activities within a Jewish context for women of all generations. Membership is open
to all female members of TSTI for $36 per year, which includes admission or
special member pricing for programs. Non-members are welcome to attend many
