Columbia High School Track Team Gives Back

CHS track team gives out turkeys to 150 local families.

The Columbia High School track team is joining with Cash Money Records to bring a special Thanksgiving meal to disadvantaged families.

The team will be giving out turkeys while Cash Money Records will be providing the rest of the meal for 150 familes in Maplewood, Orange and Newark.

CHS Coach Lisa Morgan has inspired her athletes to perform at optimal levels by giving more of themselves, which led to many college scholarships.

“I appreciate Cash Money for doing just that, giving more of themselves and including our local cities in their donations,” she said. “This type of community service benefits everyone and I’m proud to be apart of it and able to include my athletes.”

Cash Money Records Co-CEOs and founders Ronald "Slim" Williams and Bryan "Birdman" Williams expanded their 17-year tradition in New Orleans to include turkey giveaways to Newark, Orange, Maplewood, New York City, Far Rockaway and Miama with more than 2,000 families benefiting.
