Visitors to Maplewood Village might notice the teal ribbons tied around many lampposts and signs. They are part of Turn The Towns Teal®, a national campaign to promote awareness of ovarian cancer and its silent symptoms.
Keller Williams Mid-Town Direct Realty in Maplewood is coordinating the effort in the Village. On Thursday, volunteers from the agency tied ribbons throughout town and handed out symptom cards.
The ribbons will remain up through September, which is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
"This is the first time that Maplewood has participated in this campaign," said Christy Casey, Team Leader and CEO.
