Recent College Grad Launches New Book: The College Admissions Bible

Many high school students and parents fear the overwhelming and daunting college admissions process. The College Admissions Bible is a guidebook that finally SIMPLIFIES the process for all.

With the mission to prepare high school students for the daunting college admissions process, 23-year-old Natasha Scott launches The College Admissions Bible, a handy guidebook that finally simplifies the overwhelming college admissions process for students and parents. On June 27, 2013 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Wellness Lounge (14 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ), the launch party and book signing event will showcase this concise yet comprehensive handbook that covers all aspects of the college admissions process from writing an impressive college essay to getting strong letters of recommendations.

"There are plenty of guidebooks out there, but few help to simplify the daunting college admissions process. The College Admissions Bible is an easy-to-read handbook students can carry with them and refer back to throughout their high school career," said Scott, a 2011 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. "The college admissions process can be a daunting journey, but it isn't an impossible feat. I wanted to simplify the process as much as possible and show students and parents precisely what they need to do to apply for college without making them feel overwhelmed."

With the rising costs of college turning students off from applying to their dream schools or applying to college all together, The College Admissions Bible also stresses the importance of understanding how to work the financial aid process. “A college education is expensive and is a struggle for many to pay, which is why 2/3 of all college students receive some form of financial aid. If you start applying for scholarships early and get a greater understanding of the financial aid application process, you automatically alleviate the majority of the stress of applying to college.”

The book launch party and signing event is open to the public and will feature Scott on-hand autographing books and providing her personal reflections into the college admissions process.
