Susan Blumenfeld, High School Math Teacher
The outstanding teacher, colleague and mentor passed away on Jan. 5 after a brief illness.
The School District announced today that Susan Blumenfield, a CHS math teacher for nine years, passed away on Jan. 5 after a brief illness.
According to message sent to parents by Columbia High School Principal Dr. Lovie Lilly, Blumenfeld was "an outstanding teacher, a valued colleague, and a mentor to both students and teachers. We are certain that Mrs. Blumenfield’s legacy will live on in each of her students. In a very real sense, her students are monuments to her commitment and professionalism. Mrs. Blumenfield will be deeply missed."
Counselors were available Friday to provide support for CHS students and staff.
