Maplewood Contractor Loses Eye in Nail Gun Accident
Worker listed in stable condition after incident Sunday at Union Avenue home.
A contractor lost his eye Sunday when a nail gun accidentally discharged while he was working at a Union Avenue home in Maplewood, police said.
The contractor, who was not identified, was transported to University Hospital in Newark and was listed in stable condition Sunday afternoon, according to NJ.com.
Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Callaghan called the eye injury highly unusual and it was not immediately known how the nail gun discharged, NJ.com reported.
