Newark Man Arrested on Burglary Charges in Maplewood

Anthony Myers, 50, of Newark was arrested in Maplewood on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Maplewood Police arrested a Newark man on burglary charges after finding him inside of a Maplewood business.

Police were called at 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to the Liquor Cabinet on Springfield Ave in Maplewood on a report that the alarm had been triggered.

Upon their arrival, police saw that the front door had been broken and that someone had entered the establishment.

Police then found Anthony Myers, 50, of Newark walking nearby on Springfield Ave. After an investigation, Myers was taken into custody and charged with the burglary, police said.
