Irvington Teen Accused of Stealing Maplewood Boy's Bike

17-year-old charged with robbery after allegedly swiping bike from 12-year-old outside Walgreens.

AN Irvington teen stole a bicycle from a 12-year-old Maplewood boy at Walgreens, according to police.

The 17-year-old teen approached the boy at Walgreens on Springfield Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. last Thursday, pushed him against the building and stole his bicycle, Sgt. Christopher Black said.

Irvington police officers stopped the teen while he was attempting to flee on Springfield Avenue, Black said. Police arrested the teen and charged him with robbery, Black said.
