Police Investigate Home Burglaries, Auto Thefts

Maplewood Police report two home burglary attempts and two auto thefts on Thursday and Friday.

The Maplewood Police Department is investigating three burglary-related incidents from Thursday and Friday, according to a police report.

A resident called police on Thursday, after returning home to find that the sliding glass door in the back of the house had been broken. It did not appear that anyone had gained entry, police said.

Two Dodge Caravans were stolen from 50 Burnett Ave. sometime within the past week, police said. The police report was filed on Thursday.

Officers were called to a Harding Street home around 1:15 p.m., Friday, after the home burglary alarm had been set off. Officers discovered that someone had entered the home through an open window. It is unclear whether or not anything was missing from the home.

Police searched the home and surrounding area but were not able to find a suspect.
