Police Report Armed Robbery on Boyden Avenue

Man flees liquor store with an indeterminate amount of cash.

 

A man wearing a mask flashed a handgun and robbed the The New Boyden Pantry liquor store on Sunday afternoon, according to the Maplewood Police Department.

The man entered the store, located at 419 Boyden Avenue, pointed a handgun at the clerk and announced the robbery, said Sgt. Christopher Black. After the clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash, the man fled the store, said Black.

Police searched the area but could not find anyone fitting the description, said Black.

No one was injured in the robbery. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

This is at least the second time in several years the store has been robbed with the last robbery occurrig in 2009.
