Spider Is Cause of Accident at Burr and Burroughs

A woman reportedly flipped her car after spotting a spider.

A woman reportedly flipped her car this morning at the intersection of Burroughs Way and Burr Road in Maplewood after spotting a spider crawling on her.

According to Maplewood Fire Department Deputy Captain Tom McNulty, the woman, a resident of East Orange, suffered only minor injuries. She was transported to St. Barnabas Medical Center. 

McNulty said that the accident occurred when the driver saw a spider  crawling on her arm, swerved her Toyota Venza and hit a tree, flipping it over.
