Two Robbed at Gunpoint Friday

Two robberies occurred Friday within several hours of each other, police say.

Two Maplewood residents were robbed at gunpoint within hours of each other, Friday, according to a Maplewood police report.

At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, a woman was walking up her driveway on Orchard Road when she was approached by a tall thin male.

The man demanded her money and brandished a handgun, police said.

When the woman saw the gun she ran to the door of her home and the man fled to a car without taking anything.

Later that night, at 11 p.m. a Maplewood man pulled into his driveway on Marion Ter. in his BMW when a dark colored car stopped behind him and three men got out.

The men each showed handguns and stole the passenger's phone before driving away in the BMW.

The Maplewood Detective Bureau is currently investigating the incidents.
