Man in Car Approaches Girls Near Columbia High School

In what Maplewood Police described as an "unusual" incident, a man in a Mustang convertible approached four girls walking in the vicinity of Valley Street near Columbia High School on Wednesday afternoon.

 

Police Catch Alleged Burglar in Foot Chase

Maplewood Police arrested a 27-year-old Union man on Monday morning after they said the man jumped from the second-story window of a house on Curtiss Place. The officers, Rodney Tannenbaum and Rich Wright, chased McMillon through several backyards, catching him on Hickory Drive. 

 

Maplewood Mail May Be Lost in Truck Fire

The state Department of Treasury is working to assist residents in many Essex County towns whose mail, sent to government offices between Sept. 7 and Sept. 10, burned in a truck fire last month. Affected zip codes begin with 070 to 076, 078, 079, 088 and 089.
