Woman Robbed at Gunpoint on Jacoby Street

Two men with handguns stole money and cell phone, police said.

A woman was robbed while walking on Jacoby Street on Saturday, according to a police report.

“She was approached from behind by at least two males that displayed handguns and demanded her phone and money,” police said.

The men took the phone and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on 44th Street toward Irvington, police said.

When we were debating selling the Old Police Station and building a new one on Springfield, one of the claims made by those who supported the deal was that having the station on Springfield would help to reduce crime in that area. It hasn't happened. And, we paid $10 million or so for the exchange of buildings. And, we got Station House. The entire process beginning to end has been a complete fail by Vic DeLuca.
