Cardholders can now access items at any of the 75 members of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System.

The Maplewood Memorial Library will celebrate a grand re-opening Wednesday when it officially joins the Bergen County Cooperative Library System.

There will be ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the main library and the Hilton branch at 1 p.m. followed by refreshments at both locations.

The BCCLS includes 75 libraries in Essex, Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties. Maplewood residents will now have access to more than 5 million items in the consortium.

Maplewood Library cardholders will now be able to go to other member libraries and can have materials delivered to Maplewood within days. The BCCLS also provides enhanced eBooks and eResources.
