Maplewood Township officials will hold a live press conference on Monday at 10 a.m. at Maplewood Town Hall to share the township's emergency plans for Hurricane Sandy, said Mayor Vic DeLuca.

"This is the first time we are doing this for a storm and the second time ever for any reason," said DeLuca.

The meeting will be aired on Comcast channel 35 and FIOS channel 22.

In addition to the Mayor, Police Chief Robert Cimino, Fire Chief Joseph Richardella, Director of Public Works Eric Burbank and members of the Township Committee will attend.

On Sunday morning, DeLuca was on a conference call with Gov. Chris Christie and his cabinet members. DeLuca said the township is coordinating its storm preparation efforts with Essex County and with the State Office of Emergency Management.
