It's Thanksgiving Week, and after Turkey Day we have Black Friday and Small Business Saturday to look forward to. There are also some other things going on in town this week:
The South Orange - Maplewood Board of Education will meet on Monday, Nov. 19 at the BOE building at 525 Academy Street. The agenda can be found here.
Don't forget, Highland Place/Crane's will have its Monday Meal Deal on Monday, Nov. 19. Just $30 for a dinner for four, served family style. In addition, Glenn Franke's Big Band will be playing (check out the video attached to this article.) For more information, visit the website.
The Maplewood Township Committee will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Maplewood Town Hall. On the agenda is a discussion of a resolution "requesting the NJ Board of Public Utilities and NJ State Legislature to investigate information management, communication and emergency preparedness and response capabilities of PSE&G and making certain recommendations in that regard." The agenda can be found here.
It's a pre-Thanksgiving Day tradition: Rent Party is back on Wednesday, Nov. 21 with Walk the Dog, 3rd Gear and Hooray Henry's. Minimum $5 donation with every dollar matched by HK Project; all proceeds go to fight hunger in our community. Like they say -- the more you give, the better you feel!
The Jersey Cares Annual Coat Drive continues at the GenWealth Group. Drop off new or gently worn coats at the GenWealth offices at 6 Inwood Place in Maplewood Village.
