Local Homes For Rent During Super Bowl Week

As Super Bowl XLVIII comes to New Jersey, thousands of homeowners are cashing in by renting their homes.

Super Bowl XLVIII is turning out to be a money maker for homeowners in New Jersey.

As the biggest sporting event in the world comes to the Garden State, thousands of homeowners are looking to get a piece of the millions of dollars expected to be injected into the New York metro area by renting their homes and apartments.

And the prices aren't cheap.

More than 1,400 rental are listed on eventhomes.com leading up to the game, including a small one-bedroom apartment in South Orange asking $400 a day and a Montclair apartment asking $2,000 a day.

A 8,200-square foot home in North Caldwell with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a four-car garage and even daily maid service is listed on super-bowl-rentalz.com for $119,500 for the week leading up to the big game.

If you are looking for something a bit smaller, how about his two-story home in Glen Ridge posted on eventhomes.com for $4,000 a day?

What are the going rates in Maplewood? And is anyone getting bookings? We thought about it but wonder about pro football fans causing a lot of damage...
