Columbia HS Musical Tickets Go on Sale This Week

Tickets are on sale in both South Orange and Maplewood

Elle Woods is in the house. Columbia High School is performing Legally Blonde, and tickets are on sale now.

Legally Blonde features college sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods. When her boyfriend dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law.

Leading the cast as Elle is Austin Bommer, with Keenan Kariotis as heartbreaker, Warner, Nigel Finley as Elle’s fellow student, Emmett and Erin Reininga portraying good friend, Paulette.  Rounding out the lead roles are Jonah Wolff (Professor Callahan), Alex Henderson (Brooke), Allie Pease (Vivienne) and Iris Garrison-Driscoll (Enid).

Heading up the production team is Maplewood Middle School teacher Mr. Rob Cohen.  CHS music teachers Ms. Jamie Bunce and Mr. Peter Bauer are the vocal and instrumental music directors.  Choreography is by Ms. Bethany Pettigrew and Ms. Tricia Benn, set design and construction by Mr. Mark Halliday, set painting by Ms. Patricia Tiné, costumes by Ms. Carol Rutledge and Ms. Barbara Canace, hair and make-up by Mr. Jason Hayes and technical direction by Ms. Tara Abbondante.  Assistant Principal Michael Healy serves as the producer.

Legally Blonde will be presented in the high school’s auditorium – 17 Parker Avenue, Maplewood on March 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. as well as two matinee performances on March 10 and 17 at 2 p.m.  Tickets may be purchased in advance for $10 each (general admission) at one of the four following establishments:

  • Maplewood Stationers, 171 Maplewood Avenue, Maplewood
  • Maplewood Pizzeria, 513 Valley Street, Maplewood
  • Park Wood Diner, 1958 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood
  • Kitchen a la Mode, 19 South Orange Avenue, South Orange

Advance tickets may also be purchased in the main office of the high school during school hours.  General admission tickets will be available on the day of the performance and at the door for $15.
