Maplewoodian: BOE's Crawford on Potential Superintendent Search

Longtime board member prepares for potential search to replace Brian Osborne after leading the effort to hire him six years ago.

Maplewoodian's Joe Strupp recently interviewed longtime South Orange - Maplewood Board of Education member Lynne Crawford about how the district would conduct a search for a new superintendent if Brian Osborne accepts a job in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Crawford, who helped lead the search that led the district to hire Osborne six years ago, offers a lot of insight into the details of the process. Crawford will not be running for office again in November, citing work and health issues.

In the broadcast, Strupp also discusses the recent departure of a Maplewood DPW worker over anti-gay slurs and other comments on Facebook.
