SOMA Board of Ed Reorganizes Tuesday

The SOMA Board of Education will hold a reorganization meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at 525 Academy St. in Maplewood.

New members will officially take their seats on the South Orange and Maplewood Board of Education, Tuesday, during its annual Reorganization meeting.

The decision was made by the Board of Education to reschedule the annual reorganization meeting from Thursday, Jan. 2 to Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The scheduling change was made due to administrative reasons, according to district officials.

At the meeting, Beth Daugherty will begin her new term, while Johanna Wright and Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad will be sworn into their new roles on the SOMA Board of Education. Board of Education member David R. Giles and 2nd Vice President Lynne E. Crawford will be stepping down.
