CHS Fall Sports Are Underway

Columbia High School Cougar's play and practice hard.

Fall sports are underway which means the Columbia High School Football team and marching band are practicing and playing hard.

“What could be better than coming out to enjoy a crisp, autumn afternoon while cheering on the CHS football team?” asks Jane Ellis, who does publicity for CHS. The next home game is scheduled for Friday, October 4, at 7 PM, when the Cougars will face Bloomfield.

“Anyone living near Columbia High School knows how hard they practice -- beginning their precision drills in August before school has even started and running late through the fall,” said Ellis. “The award-winning CHS Marching Band and Color Guard is putting the finishing touches on their new show, 'Mysteries of the Sands.'"

They will provide the halftime entertainment at every CHS Football Game this season, at home or away.
