The Millburn-Short Hills 13-and-under team took the Northern New Jersey Babe Ruth League District 12 Tournament championship Monday, beating the Maplewood-South Orange Red by a score of 5-4, according to a published report.
The win in Warren gave the Millburn-Short Hills Falcons its fourth district title in five years, The Item of Millburn and Short Hills reported.
The victory sends Millburn-Short Hills to the Northern New Jersey State Tournament, which kicks off Thursday, July 18, at the Baird Community Center and Cameron Field in South Orange, according to the Northern New Jersey Babe Ruth League website.
