Bike Shop Class for Kids Starts July 9

SOMBike offers popular class on bike repairs and rules of the road again.

The South Orange Maplewood Bicycle Coalition is once again offering its summer bike shop class:

Bike Shop: how to fix and maintain bikes, run by Tom Reingold, master bike mechanic and the South Orange Maplewood Bicycle Coalition co-founder. Students will learn basic repairs including how to change a tire, patch a tube, align brakes, adjust handlebars, and oil a chain. Bring your own bike or work on some of ours. This is a skill that will last a lifetime.

Although the July 25 session has already begun, there's still time to sign up your children for the July 9 session. Classes are at 8:45 a.m. or 9:50 a.m. Cost is $80/child.

This class is available for children heading into grades 5 through 9 and takes place at , 17 Parker Ave, Maplewood, NJ.
