Soles4Souls collects, distributes and recycles new or gently worn shoes to those without shoes in 127 countries around the world, including the U.S.

"I feel I have just hit the tip of the iceberg and know there are many more unwanted shoes taking up closet space that could be put to good use," said Thomson last year.  She asked friends and colleagues to spread the word, and so they did.

Congratulations to Diane Thomson, who heads to Haiti in August!
