There's a lot going on in Maplewood and South Orange this week between meetings and spooky Halloween events.

Maplewood Farmer's Market

Monday, Oct. 28 is your last chance to visit the Maplewood Farmer's Market, located on Springfield Ave. at the Indiana St. Parking Lot. The Market runs from 2 to 7 p.m.

“Join us for a great season filled with Jersey fresh fruits and vegetables, breads, pastries and preserves, cheeses; prepared foods like steaks, burgers, crab cakes, Cambodian cuisine and the most refreshing vegetable juices anywhere,” organizers said.

Flu Shots

South Orange Village is offering flu shots by appointment to all residents for $20 on Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. in the conference room located on the third floor of 76 South Orange Ave.

South Orange BOT

The South Orange Board of Trustees will meet for a regular meeting Monday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. on the Main SOPAC stage at One SOPAC Way.

South Orange Planning Board

The South Orange Planning Board will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., also on the Main SOPAC stage at One SOPAC Way.

Recruiting Realities Seminar

Jack Renkens is entering his 16th year touring theUnited States and has been featured on numerous TV and radio shows across the country. Board of Education Candidates Forum

Board of Education candidates will participate in the third and final public forum before Election Day. The Forum will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Marshall Elementary School, 262 Grove Road, South Orange.

Maplewood Health Department Adult Health Clinic

Halloween Parade & Costume Contest

On Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, Maplewood will hold its Halloween Parade & Costume Contest from 3 to 6 p.m. from Maplewood Ave and Durand Road to Baker Street.

Check in with your elementary school to see what time you can see your child's Halloween Parade on Thursday.

South Orange will be holding a Halloween Festival, Thursday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Spooky Spiotta Park. The costume parade and contest will be at 5 p.m.

“Join us for music and Halloween games hosted by Wanda the Giant Witch followed by the annual Costume Contest in the park. Plus refreshments and prizes for everyone! Then head out around the Village Center to trick-or-treat,” said members of the South Orange Village Center Alliance.
