12Comics is an enrichment program, which enhances both creative and educational skills of children from first grade through high school. Kids begin by creating their own superhero, either hand-drawn or computer generated and continue to develop comic strips, comic books and online movies. Founders Mark and Tracy Hair have developed a program consisting of a series of missions—including vocabulary, civics, science and history—which challenges students to be both thoughtful and perceptive. They learn computer skills, research proficiency, writing skills and group participation practices all while enjoying the vast world of superheroes. Summer sessions and after-school programs are offered.
