Columbia High School (CHS) has students from South Orange and Maplewood. Dr. Lovie Lilly is the principal. Famous grads (and inductees to the CHS Hall of Fame) include Lauryn Hill ('93), Elisabeth Shue ('81), Andrew Shue ('85) and Paul Auster ('65). One of the most recent improvements to the school was converting the industrial arts section in the B-wing into a Black Box Theater used by the school's Parnassian Society for theater productions.
