• Brian Osborne was hired in April 2008 to take over as superintendent for Robert Horoschak, who served for nine years.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

• To reach a board member, e-mail the superintendent's executive secretary. Your message will be forwarded to the appropriate person.
• The nine board members are elected at large and serve three-year terms. Three members are up for re-election every year.
• In April or May of each year, the board elects a new president and two vice-presidents.
• There are four standing committees: finance; facilities; engagement and outreach; and policy.
• The board meets on the third Monday of every month at 525 Academy St., Maplewood, at 7:30 p.m.
• Some meetings are scheduled outside of the regular monthly session. Notifications of committee meetings, closed sessions and other off-schedule meetings are posted.
